PhD project

Title: "Digital Literacy Framework for Public Librarians in Qatar: A study for required public Librarian Competencies post Covid-19 Pandemic"

The perception of the library and subsequently the public librarians’ role changed when Covid-19 Pandemic hit the world, forcing social distancing and fear of objects’ role in spreading the illness, including books. This change made digital literacy key to public libraries to provide its services. This paper emphasises the need for the public library to create a framework for digital literacy to define the competencies required from the Librarians and the needs of the patrons to provide digital literacy-related services.
