PhD Topic: Profiling Access to Healthcare Facilities in Kano State, Nigeria
My research aims to improve access to healthcare in Kano State, Northern Nigeria through modelling the distribution of healthcare facilities based on population needs with the use of GIS techniques.
I read BSc Geography at Bayero University Kano before moving to the University of Leicester where I gained MSc Geographical Information Systems (2011). I started teaching in the department of geography Bayero University Kano in 2012 before joining the department of geography The University of Sheffield for PhD in 2015. I have research interest in social and spatial inequalities, Geography of Development and Geographical Information Systems
