Meet a true force in Sheffield's creative landscape. Alex Deadman, founder of the strategic communications company Worlds Collide, is bringing two decades of navigating the city's music, creative, and cultural scenes right to the talk.
Alex's journey unfolds in three dynamic acts:
- The Creator: His story begins immersed in Sheffield's music and nightlife scene—running club nights, DJing, MCing, and working everywhere from radio to record shops. This is where he mastered the rhythm of connecting with a crowd.
- The Freelancer: Alex transitioned into balancing creative projects with family life, notably joining the PR team for Tramlines Festival and lending his expertise to inclusive arts initiatives like Under the Stars. This period sharpened his ability to bridge the gap between creative vision and public connection.
- The Founder: Now, as the business owner of Worlds Collide, Alex is dedicated to giving Sheffield's cultural ecosystem smarter storytelling and strategy. He currently serves as Head of PR for Tramlines and Head of Communications for Tickets for Good.
Alex will share his story to show you exactly how personal passion turns into a thriving company, offering a first-hand look at the founder mentality and mapping out how Sheffield's cultural and creative industries have truly developed over the last several decades.
Prepare to be inspired by a story of grit, rhythm, and strategy.
