Description
Alex Deadman is the founder of Worlds Collide, a Sheffield-based strategic communications company working across cultural strategy, public relations and audience development. With roots in the city’s music and creative scenes, Alex brings over 20 years of experience navigating the worlds of nightlife, festivals, social enterprise and cultural programming.
His journey unfolds in three acts. First, as a junglist: running club nights, DJing, MCing and working across the music industry in multiple roles, from radio to record shops. Second, as a freelancer: balancing creative work with family life, joining the PR team at Tramlines Festival and supporting inclusive arts projects like Under the Stars. And third, as a business owner: founding Worlds Collide to serve Sheffield’s cultural ecosystem with smarter storytelling and strategy.
Alex is now Head of PR for Tramlines and Head of Communications for Tickets for Good, while delivering PR and comms support for organisations including WaterBear Music College Sheffield, the Sheffield Lunar Chinese New Year Festival and the Sheffield Adventure Film Festival (ShAFF).
Alex will use his story to show you personal passion can turn into a thriving company, his understanding of the founder mentality and how Sheffield's cultural and creative industries have developed over the last several decades.
