I am a Research Associate at the University of Sheffield working with a British Academy Global Professor exploring the ways that Gothic fiction influences discourses of race. I am also the current Web Officer for the International Gothic Association and co-lead the SIIBS Gothic Bible Project.

My research explores the intersections of religion, theology, and representations of the Other within fiction, focusing specifically on Christian constructions of the Jewish Other in literature, and with a particular focus on the Gothic. My PhD thesis examines Christian constructions of the Jewish Other in eighteenth and nineteenth century literature, but I am interested in exploring representations of religion and theology within Gothic and Horror narratives of all periods.
