Black Out Test

Essential maintenance blackout test on critical electrical infrastructure that will affect the majority of the
Western Bank campus (the buildings identified within this Notification of Works) constituting a test of the standby generation systems
within The Transformer. The activity will isolate the site from mains power and test fixed backup electrical generation.

Loss of heating update

Boiler operations have been restored to the transformer building and heating & hot water services will be
returning to normal. Building temperatures are rising, but it may take a while to reach set point.

here has been a water leak in C94, Firth Court on the West side.

Due to the location and complexity of the work required to resolve this, a number of heating circuits will need to be isolated.

Areas affected are: Firth Court Porters / Reception, Firth Hall ,Firth Hall DHW, Rotunda, Firth Court NMR.

The issue will be worked on today by the mechanical team. The works should be completed by the end of the day.
