Updates on current disruptions affecting Estates and Facilities Management (EFM) services in University buildings, upcoming works which will affect EFM services and recently resolved issues.

Current Maintenance Issues

| 15/01/2026 | Firth Hall Block | Water leak has been reported in the main stairwell of Firth Hall block. Water has been isolated. Technical Services have been notified and will pick this up as a matter of urgency. 19/01/26 - The prayer room is still affected with dehumidifiers in place. |

| 19/01/2026 | 1801 Sir Frederick Mappin | The glass lift in Mappin has been placed out of order due to a fault. External contractors are aware of the issue and are currently working to resolve the issue as quickly as possible. |

| 26/01/2026 | 1203 Arts Tower | Selected floors are experiencing a loss of heating or reduced temperatures. External contractors are working with the BMS team to resolve this as soon as possible. 10:05am - The issue has now been resolved, however, the building may take some time to reach set temperatures. |

| 05/01/2026 | Students Union | Please be aware that the Lift outside the SU on Glossop Rd side has had to be isolated as the doors have been forced. We are awaiting a quote and a timescale for the repair and will update in due course. 21/01/26 - This lift is now back in operation following repairs. |
