Research seminars and conferences

Digital Humanities Institute (DHI)

Lunchtime Seminars: In the DHI, we will encourage you to get involved in our lunchtime research seminars, which will take place throughout the academic year. This is a casual and non-formal opportunity for DHI colleagues and PGR students to present their research to one another.

Business Leader Talks: Each year the DHI hosts a series of talks by business leaders who have created and run some of the UK’s leading technology and new media projects in the cultural industries. It is an opportunity for you to hear their ideas, and share their journeys and experiences in a series of in-person talks at the University. All DHI students will be invited to these. Find out more here.

Digital Humanities Congress (DHC): The Digital Humanities Congress is a conference held in Sheffield every two years. Its purpose is to promote the sharing of knowledge, ideas and techniques within the digital humanities. Some of the papers presented at the Digital Humanities Congress are available via DHI Books, our online publication website.

You are, of course, more than welcome to form your own DHI research reading groups, seminars, and events! If you have any ideas or would like further advice, please contact dhi-pgr@sheffield.ac.uk.
