A recently published paper by Jen Lewis and colleagues, using CUREd research data, has been featured in an editorial ‘Accuracy on the line: the NHS triage system in context’.

The study highlights advisor risk-aversion and triaging accuracy for NHS 111 advice for paediatric patients. Clinically trained health advisors may reduce urgent care referrals without compromising on patient safety.

The findings of this study will inform 111 policy and staffing at Yorkshire Ambulance Service NHS Trust and East Midlands Ambulance Service NHS Trust.
