Profile

Before joining the Centre for International Research on Care, Labour and Equalities (CIRCLE) at the University of Sheffield, Dan worked for many years at a telecare company, training healthcare professionals and patients with long-term conditions how to operate state-of-the-art remote monitoring devices.

In 2018, Dan joined CIRCLE as an administrator for the ESRC-funded Sustainable Care programme. During his time working on the programme, he was responsible for the programme’s online presence and was key to the day to day operations. In 2020, Dan began producing the CARE MATTERS podcast, which features interviews and conversations with experts in the field of social care. The podcast is still active and continues to attract audiences from around the world.

Dan is currently Digital and Communications Coordinator at the ESRC-funded Centre for Care and CIRCLE and continues his work on the CARE MATTERS podcast, as well as producing animations, videos, various other digital outputs and maintaining the Centre for Care website and social media platforms.
