Care Practices theme sandpit event

We are delighted to invite you to the first sandpit event for the Care Practices theme within CIRCLE, the Centre for International Research on Care, Labour and Equalities. 

The Care Practices theme brings together academics, practitioners, people with lived experience, third sector organisations and other stakeholders to explore approaches to providing care within social care settings. The theme aims to support translational learning across sectors by considering how effective practices in one social care context might be applied in another, while creating space for all stakeholders to share their perspectives and contribute to future directions. There will also be opportunities to explore attendees' areas of interest, including learning about different research across the University, and forming collaborations on academic manuscripts, practice outputs or future grant applications.

Call for short presentations 

The sandpit will begin with an overview of the Care Practices theme and its aims. Following this, we would like to hear from attendees. 

We invite participants to deliver a short, informal presentation of approximately 5-8 minutes on current research, emerging ideas, or innovative approaches to care in practice. This will be an opportunity to share your work, learn from others, and identify common interests and potential areas for collaboration.

The event will conclude with roundtable discussions focused on opportunities for collaboration and defining the next steps for the Care Practices theme.
