Rare cancers network meeting
Event details
-
Wednesday 22 April 2026 - 9:00am to 12:00pm
Description
We want to be proactive and develop an understanding of cross faculty strengths in rare cancers, with the intention that we are in a stronger position to bring data and ideas together for focussed grant applications.
Initially we aim to have discussions focussed on 3 areas and invite short presentations to support the themes of:
Cancer stem cells/dormancy
Leveraging omics approaches for novel pan-cancer treatment of rare cancers
Better models for rare cancers
Please register your interest and if you would like to present any interesting findings for this networking event you are more than welcome. We aim to bring together researchers on translational aspects of rare cancer, but colleagues on the patient experience side are also welcome to attend. Please also feel free to come if you are not currently working on rare cancers, but are interested in knowing more, or seeing how your own experience on more common cancers can be translated to support rare cancer research.
