What is Coach Café?
Coach Café is a programme of online networking events taking place across the University. This is a unique opportunity to connect with Alumni Coaches, hear their industry insights and get your questions answered.
At each event you'll meet recent graduates and more experienced alumni who are working in a range of different industries and job roles, both in the UK and internationally. Learn from their valuable experiences and discover what career options are open to you after graduation.

What’s Involved?
- Take part in small group discussions with different alumni. Hear about their career journeys, get tips for success and get your questions answered.
- Finish with an informal online networking session where you’ll have the opportunity to talk to all of the alumni and your fellow students.
- Make connections and build your global network.
How to Apply?
- Coach Café will return for the 2024/25 academic year- please register your interest for the event that is most relevant to you.
- Coach Café is open to all students, but places will be prioritised for undergraduate students who meet widening participation criteria.
- If oversubscribed, places will be offered on a first-come-first-served basis.

Arts & Humanities and Social Sciences Coach Café
This year, students have connected with Alumni Coaches working in a range of industries, from Media and the Arts to Education, International Governance, Journalism, Civil Service, Marketing, Finance, Law, Tech, the Charity Sector and much more!

Alumni to Alumni Coach Café
Our very first Alumni to Alumni Coach Café piloted this June, connecting final year students and recent graduates with alumni from a range of industries, including the civil service, construction, education, tech and more!
