Parveen Ali and Tony Ryan have been successful in their recent General Nursing Council bid to support their study titled;
'Do primary care nurses provide appropriate care to women victims of evidence from black and ethnic communities?'
The proposed study aims to develop an educational resource to support nurses working in primary care who provide support and care to victims/ survivors of domestic violence from black and minority ethnic communities.
And it doesn't stop there...
We are also pleased to report that along with colleagues from ScHARR, Jill Thompson has been successful in a bid for an 18-month evaluation of the Red Cross Community Connectors Programme, which is a community intervention to reduce social isolation and loneliness in vulnerable groups. Jill will be leading on one of the 3 work packages associated with the project. The total bid is worth £96,000.
We would like to congratulate all involved!
