Returning to education? Our Department for Lifelong Learning runs degrees with a foundation year for people who don't have the usual qualifications.
Along with first-hand industry experience, this dual course combines the essentials of an architecture and a structural engineering degree so you could become an architect or an engineer.
Initially following the structure of the BSc, our four-year MGeogSci features an integrated masters. This gives you the chance to build on your knowledge of natural processes through an advanced research project.
This MBiolSci is designed for students who want to pursue a career in industrial or academic research. The first three years of your course have the same structure as the BSc, and the majority of the fourth year is devoted to a major research project.
Landscape Architecture is the planning, design and management of spaces for nature and people. This course aims to educate landscape architects who have a more in-depth understanding of ecology and habitat creation. If you enjoy subjects related to biology or environmental sciences, or have a keen interest in the natural world, this course will equip you to combine a more detailed appreciation of ecological processes and how they work within the designed landscape.

This course is about biologically inspired algorithms, their relationship to living biological intelligence and the nature of consciousness itself. Some modules overlap with the main Computer Science degree, so you get the same solid grounding in the fundamentals. You can specialise in speech recognition, language processing or robotics. We encourage you to take optional modules in psychology and philosophy to enhance your understanding.

On this degree you'll develop ethical data-driven solutions which have a positive impact on organisations and society. Taught by active researchers and developed with industry experts, you'll learn the technical and analytical competencies necessary to become a responsible data scientist.
Landscape architecture is the planning, design and management of spaces for nature and people. This course aims to train landscape architects who understand planning and how design proposals affect the environment. If you enjoy geography, politics, economics or history you will appreciate the scope and challenge of this course.
Our four year degrees are a one year extension to our BSc degrees which allows further specialisation. In your fourth year you will develop research and analytical skills. You will have the opportunity to contribute to a publication of your research findings and will also take part in a conference style presentation where you present your work.
