Returning to education? Lifelong learning runs degrees with a foundation year for people who don't have the usual qualifications.
You’ll study the research, design, development, construction and flight of aircraft on this course and gain a solid grounding in aerospace engineering. You'll also learn how to communicate effectively with people from a wide range of engineering disciplines.
You'll gain both breadth and depth of knowledge across the full range of aeronautical and aerospace engineering. You'll also gain the additional project management experience and practical skills which employers demand on this four-year course.
This course is the same as our aerospace engineering degree, with added initial flight training. The extra year of in-depth study on this four year course prepares you for a career in industry.
You'll gain both breadth and depth of knowledge across the full range of aeronautical and aerospace engineering. You'll also gain the additional project management experience and practical skills which employers demand on this four-year course.
This course is about the design and operation of processes for making products such as fuels, medicines, plastics, food and materials for high technology industries. You'll also learn about the production and use of energy.
Study animals and biodiversity at every scale. You'll learn how animals function, how to conserve biodiversity, and how evolution works. If you're thinking about a career in industrial or academic research, this course involves a major research project of your choice in your fourth year.
A placement year will contextualise your academic studies, allowing you to experience first-hand the culture in industry, as well as making contacts and honing your professional skills. It will give you a distinct advantage in the job market upon graduation.
Biomedical engineering is a dynamic, multidisciplinary field that links engineering and medicine to improve human health and quality of life. It’s a field where you can make a real impact, using cutting-edge technology to develop innovations that help people live longer, healthier, and happier lives.
Biomedical engineering is a dynamic, multidisciplinary field that links engineering and medicine to improve human health and quality of life. It’s a field where you can make a real impact, using cutting-edge technology to develop innovations that help people live longer, healthier, and happier lives. The MEng provides an integrated master's qualification with advanced topics and a specialised research project in your fourth year, helping you stand out to top employers.
This course is about the design and operation of processes for making products such as fuels, medicines, plastics, food and materials for high technology industries. You'll also learn about the production and use of energy. Years one to three are the same as for the BEng (H810). Year four allows further specialisation and study with the emphasis on an individual research project which may be carried out in association with industry.
This degree is all about maximising your employability. You’ll follow the same academic programme as our standard aerospace engineering course, but you may have the opportunity to spend a year working in a graduate-level role in an engineering company.
Examine patterns and processes in the natural environment with our physical geography degree. You’ll develop practical skills in the field and address global issues such as natural hazards, climate change and rising sea levels.
Gain the skills, knowledge and confidence to tackle the big social science challenges facing society today including inequality, injustice and health. You'll learn how to undertake high-quality research, how to communicate results to different audiences and how it can be applied to make a difference to our lives.
Study animals and biodiversity at every scale. You'll learn how animals function, how to conserve biodiversity, and how evolution works, whilst putting your skills and knowledge into practice in the lab and field.
Study the matter of our universe and the laws that govern it with our accredited Physics and Astrophysics MPhys course. Gain fundamental knowledge necessary for a successful future career and spend most of your final year working on your own research project.
This course combines subjects from all of the engineering disciplines associated with buildings and their infrastructure, as well as providing an understanding of architectural thinking and practice.
