The French Film Festival is an annual tour bringing the best of classic and contemporary French Cinema to screens across the UK. This year the trio of films celebrate women in French cinema.
The films include the hotly anticipated Titane, directed by Julia Ducournau, which won top prize at the Cannes Film Festival earlier this year. Ducournau is only the second female director to win this famous prize.
The second film in the programme is Catherine Corsini’s The Divide. Corsini is a celebrated French writer-director and her previous films have opened to major acclaim at numerous international film festivals.
The third film in the collection is Between Two Worlds, a social-realist drama based on French journalist Florence Aubenas's bestselling non-fiction work Le Quai de Ouistreham. Aubenas is played by powerhouse French actress Juliette Binoche.
