Faculty of Science Postdoctoral Researcher Awards 2025

We are pleased to announce the winners of this year's Postdoctoral Researcher Awards that recognise outstanding contributions in the Faculty of Science.

KE Awards 2025

Based on nominations by staff members, four awards were given each with a prize of £500 in recognition of contributions to one or more of the following categories:

  • Outstanding contribution to research impact
  • Outstanding contribution to teaching
  • Outstanding contribution to leadership and culture
  • Outstanding contribution to engagement and outreach

The 2025 winners PDRA prize are:

  • Harry Wright, School of Mathematical and Physical Science - Outstanding contribution to research impact
  • Anna Butters, School of Psychology  - Outstanding contribution to research impact
  • Chester Blackburn, School of Mathematical and Physical Science - Outstanding contribution to Teaching, Leadership and Culture
  • Tom Rosevaere, School of Mathematical and Physical Science - Outstanding contribution to Research Impact, Teaching, Leadership and Culture

Congratulations to all of this year’s prize winners. It is great to see the outstanding achievements of our PDRA community and to hear about the ways in which our PDRAs are generating world-leading science, delivering important impact and driving a positive research culture. I was particularly pleased to hear about the excellent work in leadership and culture that many of our PDRAs are engaged in. Encouraging generous leadership and promoting a culture where everyone can thrive is one of the priorities of the Faculty of Science and I’d like to thank all staff who are helping to deliver this ambition in the Faculty.
