Disabled PGR Group Mentoring Programme

The Disabled PGR Group Mentoring Programme is a series of workshops open to PGRs, with guest speakers, networking opportunities and many useful resources.

PGR workshops

Every month, the Specialist Mentor Team led by Hayley Rennie (Project Delivery Lead for Disabled PGRs) runs a two-hour workshop for all PGRs who are, or are exploring if they are, disabled.

You do not need to be a DDSS service user to attend these workshops.

Each workshop will have a theme to aid discussion, and there will be guest speakers (usually academics, staff from support services, or recently graduated disabled PGR students) who will introduce the topic.

Find your community

These workshops are also a chance to find your community. There are refreshments and time to chat with each other informally.

There is also an Instagram social group that the students who attended the pilot programme have set up themselves, and they also organise lunches and socials.

Student and staff blogs

In a series of blogs, disabled PGR students, workshop facilitators and invited speakers share their experiences of the Mentoring Programme.
