CHTE2020 sources and synthesis of evidence
This project aims to critically review existing and emerging methods for synthesising evidence on clinical effectiveness for decision-making in Health Technology Appraisals.
The project includes
- network meta-analysis
- population adjusted indirect comparisons
- combining observational and randomised evidence
- multiple outcomes
- surrogate outcomes
- survival outcomes
- comparative efficacy of diagnostic tests
Recommendations are made for updates to the NICE Guide to the Methods of Technology Appraisal for each topic, as well as recommendations for further research and future technical support documents.
