A mesothelioma show garden for the RHS Wentworth Woodhouse Flower Show 2025
We are going to submit an application for a mesothelioma-themed show garden at the Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) Flower Show at Wentworth Woodhouse, in South Yorkshire in July 2025.
The show garden presents a unique opportunity to reach a huge audience of up to 100,000 people and to gain national/local press attention to raise awareness of mesothelioma, the dangers of asbestos, and to share experiences within the Yorkshire region.
The garden will be designed here at the University of Sheffield by one of our talented students, RHS award winner, Oliva Copley from the School of Architecture and Landscape. It will be shaped by the ideas and experiences of people who have been touched by mesothelioma, including our Patient and Public Involvement panel.
We are looking for sponsorship to fund the £30,000 required for the show garden, and would be very grateful to hear from any organisations or individuals able to make a financial contribution. You can sponsor the garden from as little as £200, up to the total amount! A list of all sponsors will be displayed in the garden.
