What spaces, rooms and equipment are available?

Bookable assistive spaces and rooms

Some students are registered to book Assistive Spaces, many of which are equipped with Assistive software and technology. If you feel that this service would benefit you please contact the Inclusive Learning Team at lib-inclusivelearning@sheffield.ac.uk.

For students who qualify for this service, these spaces are bookable up to two weeks in advance for a maximum of eight hours per day.

Equipment

All library sites provide

  • coloured paper
  • coloured and large text keyboards
  • hearing loop
  • readit wand
  • wrist support
  • book stands

All student PCs already have TextHelp Read & Write, ClaroRead, MindView, Inspiration and Adobe Acrobat DC Pro (available through the Software Centre).
