' Having originally studied for my degree at the University of Sheffield, I returned to work here 9 years ago. Over that time I've held roles in several different departmental and Professional Services teams, had the opportunity to undertake secondments and additional project work, and been able to adjust my working patterns to maintain a good work-life balance alongside having a young family.

I was worried initially when moving from full time to part time working that I may miss out on opportunities for development and progression, however the University is very forward looking in the flexibility that it offers to staff and works hard to ensure that all staff have access to the resources and roles that they need to move forward in their career.
