Profile

Alice is a second-year PhD student in the School of Law, at the University of Sheffield researching the effects of neurotypical police institutions, policies, procedures and practices on neurodiverse citizens. Using personal and professional experiences of working with and supporting autistic people, Alive aims to use creative, visual and neurodiverse research methods to engage autistic citizens in exploring the differences that make them vulnerable to the “normal” or “typical” practices of the police. The research will also explore the role of partnerships, including third and public sector organisations and parents/carers views.
