Javier Monforte, iHuman affiliate member was awarded his PhD by the University of Valencia on Tuesday 15th October, 2019. Following a public viva, the examiners awarded Javier’s PhD the classification of outstanding – the highest category available to the panel. The panel were extremely impressed with Javier’s theoretical engagement with narrative dialogism, new materialism and posthumanism and his ethical approach to working with Patrick, a man living with spinal cord injury, during his thesis.
