Eligibility

In order to register to attend your ceremony, you need to meet the criteria below:

  • Registered your intentions for your graduation ceremony by - date to be confirmed.
  • Successfully complete your programme of study.
  • Your examination results must have been submitted to the Student Administration Service by their deadline (your department or the Student Administration Service can provide you with information relating to their deadlines).
  • All debts to the University have been paid. See the debts information page for further details.

Registration

You should complete the registration process on the assumption that you will successfully complete your studies. Receiving an invitation to register does not imply you have completed your course; we invite all students who may successfully complete in time so they can make arrangements in advance. Don’t wait until you receive your results to register for the ceremony because this is after the registration deadline. If you have not successfully completed when we receive the examination results, we will automatically remove you from the attendee list.

Students who are awarded a Postgraduate Certificate exit award are not eligible to attend a graduation ceremony. You will automatically be removed from the graduation ceremony and your certificate will be made available by Student Services.

Registration

The deadline to register will be - date to be confirmed.

Graduation market research project

We are looking for volunteers to participate in a study which aims to understand the opinions of students before, during, and after they graduate. You will receive £100 in vouchers upon completion.

The project will help us to see how the pre-event instructions are received, what you need more or less of before graduation and your feelings once you have graduated. The findings will ultimately help us to improve the graduation experience for future graduates.

Read the participant information sheet for more information and to sign up to take part in the project.
