Description

We are delighted to invite you to the formal launch of a new research theme within CIRCLE (the Centre for International Research on Care, Labour and Equalities): Reimagining Community-Based Mental Health Care.

This research theme brings together academics, practitioners, third sector organisations, policy stakeholders, and people with lived experience to critically explore how community-based mental health care is imagined, organised, and experienced across diverse contexts. It focuses on key issues such as the role of data and governance, shifting boundaries of care, workforce challenges, and the structural inequalities that shape access to and experiences of mental health support.

At the heart of the theme is a strong commitment to collaboration and co-production. We aim to create an ongoing, inclusive space for dialogue and partnership through a Mental Health Forum, designed to connect people across sectors, share emerging ideas, and foster new collaborative research.
