Mindfulness Walk, meet on the Students' Union concourse, 12.00 noon - 1.00pm

Practising mindfulness can help with stress, anxiety, depression, addiction, and chronic pain, and open us up to joy, love, self-compassion and a greater sense of connection with ourselves and others. Mindfulness can also be called ‘present moment awareness’, and involves being present in the ‘now’ through non-judgemental observation of yourself and your surroundings.

Meditation session, BNBR Life Centre, 12.15pm - 12.45pm

Try a regular meditation session every Thursday 12.15 to 12.45 for all students and staff at the University regardless of experience. It is a very friendly meditation session with a guided body awareness followed by a period on the mindfulness of breathing.  It offers a perfect break in your busy day!  Just turn up a few minutes before 12.15. The sessions are held at the gathering room in the BNBR Life Centre at 9 Mappin Street, up on floor 2.

Introduction to Meditation, BNBR Life Centre, 1pm - 2pm

A four-week introduction to meditation led by our Buddhist Advisor Vimaladasa. No experience is needed. Ideally you'll be available for sessions at this time over the following three Thursdays. The sessions are held at the gathering room in the BNBR Life Centre at 9 Mappin Street, up on floor 2.

Muslim student welcome, Firth Hall, Firth Court, 5.00pm - 8.30pm
