Lee started working for Airbus UK in 2005 as a craft apprentice completing a higher apprenticeship in Aerospace engineering. At Airbus Lee held several roles in 14-year career, from Skilled Aircraft fitter, manufacturing engineer, quality engineer and in Research and Technology (R&T) working transnationally across Airbus Sites, multiple Aircraft programmes.

Lee left Airbus in 2019 to join the new AMRC Cymru facility as a manufacturing engineer. Lee led establishing unique capability in the Hydrogen electric propulsion systems test bed at AMRC Cymru funded by CATAPULT. The AMRC now attracts companies like Toyota, ZeroAvia and Airbus to collaborate and work on Hydrogen/ Future mobility projects within the HEPS cell. In subsequent years Lee has developed into a theme lead role at the centre and is now responsible for technical work & strategy in the future mobility theme, reporting into wider AMRC Strategies, Chief Engineers and directors.
