Commencing his professional journey in 1986, John started as an apprentice in injection mould tool making, undertaking a rigorous 4-year apprenticeship before furthering his education to achieve an HND in mechanical engineering. With an impressive 38 years of manufacturing expertise under his belt, John now holds the position of Senior Technical Fellow at the Composite Centre, joining the AMRC in 2007. His extensive background lies in designing and manufacturing tooling to produce composite structures, particularly emphasizing hard tooling techniques to advance the development of cutting-edge composite components.

He is also embedded in the Composite Machining cell, assisting on fixturing and cutting strategies for trimming composite components.
