Harvest Festival
Event details
Description
The Faculty Sustainability Committee will be holding a ‘Harvest Festival’ in the Foyer of Jessop West on Thursday 12 October
Growers: bring along your excess produce on the day!
Bakers: donate cakes on the day! (Please include a list of potential allergies with your donation.)
Donators: There will also be a charity collection on the day for the local foodbank, so do search down the backs of your sofas for that loose change.
We will also be looking for donations to our Growers’ Library. It can be a costly business to start off as a grower and we are inviting colleague-growers to donate surplus seeds and equipment like seed trays, plant pots, digging tools, compost or anything of potential use to our new Growers’ Library. It’s a recycling exchange which will facilitate the sharing of equipment, growing knowledge and skills and encourage those who haven’t grown anything much before to have a go at doing so! Look in your cupboards, drawers, cellars, garden sheds and glasshouses for items which would be of use to other growers or to help someone get started. It doesn’t matter if it’s half a sachet of seeds from last year or a home-made dibbing tool. It all counts!
We look forward to seeing you.
