The Department of Mechanical Engineering and CDT Student Olivia Manfredi worked on a BBC Bitesize film to show how using a pulley system can enable young children to pull a 10 tonne truck. On the day, British strong man Eddie Hall demonstrated human power and pulled the truck along a car park. By using a pulley system the pupils were also able to pull the truck the same distance.
