Description
To co-incide with his book launch, Des Fitzgerald has kindly agreed to run a workshop on public facing scholarship.
Des Fitzgerald is professor of Medical Humanities and Social Sciences at University College Cork. He was awarded the Philip Leverhulme Prize for Sociology and named a “New Generation Thinker” by the BBC and the AHRC. His work has appeared in Granta, on BBC Radio 3, and has been published by Faber & Faber. In this workshop, Des will discuss his approach to work that is aimed at a public audience and how best to go about undertaking this type of scholarship. The workshop will be appropriate for scholars at any career stage and from any discipline.
