Each participant delivered a pre-prepared teaching demonstration, receiving detailed feedback from a panel of module leaders in Korean/East Asian Studies and current undergraduate students in Korean Studies at the University of Sheffield.

The workshop featured engaging talks from leading experts in the field of teaching.Senior Lecturer Dr.Mike Prentice opened the event with an interesting insight into his own experience of teaching across the curriculum in a Korean Studies department. Dr. Sarah Son, gave an overview of some of the challenges she has encountered in teaching, offering practical tips on how to overcome them. We were also delighted to welcome Dr. John Lee from Durham University to talk about his research as a historian of Korea and his experience of teaching Korean Studies in a discipline-specific department.

We’d like to thank all the participants for their hard work and enthusiasm over the two days and look forward to welcoming more participants next year for a third thematic workshop.
