Hannah Storey

Hi, I’m Hannah and I have recently graduated from The University of Sheffield having successfully completed my undergraduate studies in LLB Law and Criminology and I now work as one of the Student Recruitment Assistants. I am originally from Newcastle Upon Tyne and had not visited Sheffield prior to applying to university but after visiting on an open day I was attracted to the university because of its friendly atmosphere. Having thoroughly enjoyed my time at university, I am excited to stay in the vibrant city and engage with prospective studies, sharing my university experiences and advice!

Throughout my time at university, I worked as a student ambassador, supporting a wide range of events for many access schemes across the university. I was able to work with young people from lower-socioeconomic and minority backgrounds to encourage them to explore the opportunities of higher education. Through this experience, I was able to meet other like-minded student ambassadors who later became firm friends! 

One of the things I love about Sheffield is the number of green spaces across the city. After all, Sheffield is one of the greenest cities in Europe! They are great places to take breaks from studying with friends and grab a coffee or an ice cream! I also enjoy exploring Peak District with the many quiet towns and villages it encompasses.
