Profile

I am a researcher in the field of Science and Technology Studies (STS) and History of
Technology, with a background in humanities and social sciences. I have interdisciplinary
research and teaching interests around the interplay among science, technology and
society, focusing especially on the sociology and history of social media and the Internet,
the communication and public image of science and technology and the sociology of
scientific knowledge (SSK). Other research areas with which I have engaged include the
scientific and public discourses on biobanks and the role of electronic music in
environmental communication. I have held research and teaching positions at The
University of Edinburgh, the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and the
University of West Attica. At the Information School of the University of Sheffield, I am
involved in the analysis of trustworthy machine learning (ML) approaches to energy
consumption data.
