Matthew Nicholson

After graduating from the University of York in 2010, my career began in the Museum and Library sectors. I spent six years working in various cultural organisations in conservation, visitor services and archiving. I later changed my career to work in the education sector, spending three years running training courses and professional development for barristers and members of the judiciary.

I joined the University in 2021 to work with the Partnerships and Regional Engagement team and joined the Information School in September 2022.

I work closely with the Teaching and Learning Manager and the School’s Teaching Support Team on all matters related to teaching and learning administration, including student progress, timetabling, and quality assurance. I also work directly with assessment and student records.

• Allocating Personal Tutors

• The preparation of UG Exam papers

• UG Progression Boards

• Exam Boards, including preparation of reports and the secretarial support (minutes)
