I am an experienced business intelligence professional with a diverse and extensive background in the NHS and charity sectors. I have a bachelor's degree in applied computing, a master's degree in big data and business intelligence from the University of Greenwich, and a master's degree in health informatics from University College London (UCL).
I joined the Information School as a researcher, where my research focuses on the information behaviour of ethnic minorities with mental health challenges. My research aims to shed light on the unique needs and experiences of these communities, contributing to more inclusive and effective information practices.
PhD project
Title: "Exploring the Information Behaviour of Afro-Caribbean Men Experiencing Mental Health Challenges in the United Kingdom"
Addressing disparities in mental health outcomes and access to appropriate support services for ethnic minority groups, particularly Afro-Caribbean men, is a pressing concern. This research will investigate the information behaviour (IB) of Afro-Caribbean men experiencing mental health challenges in the UK, with a particular focus on comprehensively understanding their unique information needs, seeking behaviours, and use of mental health information and resources, and how community organisations influence it.
