For two years, Prof Goodfellow will work part-time with the Politics, Conflict and Humanitarian team in FCDO’s Research and Evidence Directorate. This team has funded a range of major research consortia in recent years, including the Effective States and Inclusive Development Research Centre, the Anti-Corruption Evidence Programme and the African Cities Research Consortium.
Prof Goodfellow's work will involve providing strategic guidance and independent challenge to the FCDO’s use of research and evidence in its work, as well as building links between research and policy across a range of policy and geographic teams. He will also be helping shape research priorities for the next generation of FCDO-funded research programmes.
