Now fully open: Western Bank Library, Bartolome House and Geography Building

All three buildings are open and the IT network and lifts are operating as usual.

Off

Latest Update: 13:00 Monday 17 July

The necessary inspections have been completed and all three buildings are now available for use.

For Western Bank Library we just need to get the library staff back in first, to be able to open it to students and wider staff and visitors from 13:15.

The IT network and lifts are back in full operation.

There will be no further updates as the issue is now resolved.

Previous Update: 10:30 Monday 17 July

A small flood was discovered in a basement room of Western Bank Library on the morning of Monday 17 July.

The room houses electrical switch equipment which serves the Library, Bartolome House and Geography Building.

The Library is closed and there is no IT network access in Bartolome House and Geography Building.  The lifts are also not in operation in all three buildings.

Our Engineering and Maintenance team are working to clear the water so the electrical equipment can be fully inspected.

A further update will be provided by 13:00 today.
