Profile

Narcisa holds an MEng in Chemical and Biological Engineering from the University of Sheffield and began her career as a Project Engineer at the Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre (AMRC). She quickly advanced into a technical leadership role specializing in Computer Vision, where she has developed state-of-the-art automated solutions using advanced vision systems.

With extensive experience leading teams and projects, Narcisa has delivered innovative solutions across a wide range of industries, including aerospace, construction, agriculture, automotive, and medical. Her work has focused on object identification, recognition, tracking, detection, and classification. Currently, she leads projects in Computer Vision and Artificial Intelligence, with a strong emphasis on developing safe, reliable, and trustworthy AI systems.

A significant portion of Narcisa's research focuses on applying X-ray diffraction to detect anomalies in complex aerospace components. She has pioneered novel inspection techniques for aerospace manufacturing and holds multiple patents, including those related to X-ray diffraction-based methods and other innovative inspection solutions for aerospace components. Additionally, she is pursuing a part-time PhD titled: "Development of X-ray Diffraction-Based Non-Destructive Evaluation Methods for the Qualification of Recrystallization Strain in Ni-Based Superalloy Components."

Narcisa's expertise and contributions highlight her dedication to advancing inspection technologies and AI-driven solutions that enhance precision, safety, and efficiency across industries.
