I joined the University of Sheffield Students' Union as a Give it a go Trip Host and I can say it was a very rewarding employment. I had the opportunity to work alongside the brilliant staff from the Students' Union and share their passion for giving students a chance to visit new and exciting places all around Britain and their sincere care for students' well-being during those trips. I very much enjoyed the experience of being a Trip host as it allowed me to interact with students from different nationalities and made some friends as well. I would highly recommend both the Students' Union as a future employer and GIAG as an unmiss student activity. - Staff
As an international student here in the UK it was important to me to visit and explore other places apart from the lovely city of Sheffield. Participating in Give it a Go Trips has given me this opportunity to enjoy time away from university, visit historical places and learn more about British culture in general. I had the chance to visit places such as the birthplace of Shakespeare, the mystic Stonehenge and admire the beautiful architecture of Bath. These activities enhanced my student experience and I would highly recommend visiting them to new and continuing students.- Participant
