The Hawley Collection is an internationally important collection of edge tools, cutlery and measuring instruments, mainly from Sheffield, but with complementary material from Britain and the rest of the world.
The Collection is owned by a charitable Trust and is housed at Kelham Island Museum in Sheffield in a building specially modified for it. The image shows the 'I See Saws' wall - a celebration of the range and scope of Sheffield's saw industry.
The Collection has been awarded registered museum status, and has had support from the Heritage Lottery Fund.
