Testing

Free Covid-19 testing has ended for most people.

This means you are not expected to take regular lateral flow Covid-19 tests, or a PCR test if you develop symptoms.

You may still be able to get free lateral flow tests if you have a placement with the NHS or in social care, are going into hospital, or you’re at high risk of getting seriously ill from Covid-19.

If you're undertaking a clinical placement, you may be expected to undertake testing in the same way as NHS staff. Ongoing requirements are currently being confirmed with Health Education England and further information will be provided by your academic department.

What to do if you feel unwell

While you’re no longer required to self-isolate if you have COVID-19, you should try to stay away from others if you have symptoms or if you test positive.

Please continue to stay at home if you feel unwell, and do not come to campus. Try to follow this advice until you feel well enough to resume normal activities and you no longer have a high temperature if you had one.
