Registering for a myJobshop account

Off

You will need to register on myJobshop if you would like to accept an offer of casual/GTA work.

If you are a University of Sheffield current student and you would like to apply for on-campus positions, you will also need to register on myJobshop.

Your registration will take place in two stages:

Stage 1:  Creating your account

Creating your myJobshop account will only take a few minutes.

You will be asked to provide a few personal details (name, DoB, email address, telephone number etc) and then to create and confirm a password to access your account.

Create your account now.

Stage 2: Completing your right to work (RTW) check and registration

Please note you will only proceed to this stage if you are named as a candidate on a work vacancy.

Shortly after creating your myJobshop account, you will be assigned to the vacancy for the work you are due to undertake. Once added, you will receive an email informing you of how to complete the rest of your registration, including presenting your documentation to evidence your right to work in the UK and providing your bank details.

To enable the University to make a payment to you for the work you have undertaken, you will need to have completed this second stage of registration and accepted your offer of work.

Further information about how the University will undertake your right to work check can be found here.

If you have a disability

As part of your myJobshop registration, you will be asked if you have a disability.  This information is being collected for equality monitoring purposes only, therefore, if you do declare a disability here, your hiring manager will not be made aware.

If you wish to discuss your disability in relation to any specific needs you may have to undertake casual/GTA work at the University of Sheffield, please contact your hiring manager in the first instance.

More information about reasonable adjustments can be found here

If you need any extra support or help, please contact the myJobshop Team (HR) via casualworkers@sheffield.ac.uk.
