Dr. Noel Yee-Man Siu

Dr. Siu has lived and worked as academic in UK for seven years and has been working at Hong Kong Baptist University (HKBU) for 16 years. HKBU highly emphasizes internationalization and has over 130 exchange partners all over the world. She has served as coordinator on international exchange for the School of Business in the capacity of BBA (Hons.) and has been the Associate Programme Director for four years. The job requires Dr. Siu to connect with a number of universities as well as international students. Such enriching experience and profile can help bring quality ideas and perspectives to the Board.
Established in 1956, the Hong Kong Baptist University is committed to providing Whole Person Education that inculcates intellectual, cultural, social and sporting skills outside the classroom in addition to training the minds within. In April 2010, the School of Business has attained the AACSB International (The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business International) accreditation, an elite distinction being recognized as a hallmark of excellence in management education for business schools worldwide. As an Associate Professor at the Department of Marketing, her role is to teach various marketing courses, to research and publish in reputable journals as well as to be involved in some key administrative duties.
Dr. Siu (PhD, Nottingham Trent University and MBA, University of Sheffield) has worked for De Montfort University and Derby University prior to working at Hong Kong Baptist University. Dr. Siu’s current research interests include relationship marketing, cultural marketing and corporate social responsibility. She has published around 70 research articles in prominent journals and international conference proceedings. Her articles appear in the Journal of International Marketing, European Journal of Marketing, Journal of Business Ethics, Industrial Marketing Management, Journal of International Consumer Marketing, International Journal of Advertising, International Journal of Human Resource Management, Journal of Marketing Management, among others.
Dr. Siu has consultancy experience with various well-known organizations such as Sino Group, Okashi Land, United Dragon Co. Ltd. and United Biscuits (China) Ltd. She has been awarded School of Business Award for Outstanding Performance in Service in 2009 and 2011 as well as the President’s Award for Outstanding Performance in Teaching in 2002.
