Saving credits towards a qualification
The modules offered at TILL allow you to gain credits that can be used towards a University qualification. The three main qualifications are:
- BA/BSc (Hons) Combined Studies
- A certificate in a named discipline
- Certificate in Higher Education
You can read more about these in the specific subject areas under Our courses.
Credits gained elsewhere
If you have obtained credits from another institution then it might be possible, within the limits set by University regulations, to use some or all of that credit towards a qualification here at TILL.
This generally only counts towards your Level 1 studies; you need to declare your intention to do this when you apply to TILL; and there are quite strict regulations about what can be counted.
For example, the maximum amount of credits for which you can claim is 50% of your award; so 60 credits if you are taking a certificate.
Equally, you cannot count any credits that have already been exempted in another award - this would be counting them twice. If you are interested in transferring some of your previous credits, or your experience, to the TILL award, please identify this on your application form and discuss it at your interview.
