Careers fair for legal talent

Over 75 exhibitors visited the University of Sheffield to meet Yorkshire's aspiring legal talent at the Sheffield Legal Fair, held on Wednesday 28 November 2007, at the University's Octagon Centre.

The fair was open to students from all of Yorkshire's universities, as well as members of the public and school leavers, looking for information on professional legal studies, job opportunities, training contracts or vacation work. Organisations attending included major City of London firms, smaller provincial practices, in-house lawyers, the Government Legal Service, the Crown Prosecution Service and the Bar Council.

There was also a series of talks on the day providing more information on how to pursue a career in the legal sector.

Mari Brazil, Fair Organiser, said: "The Sheffield Legal Fair is a great chance for the best firms in the legal business to meet up with some of the brightest up-and-coming legal brains in the region. If you´re interested in a career in the legal sector then this is an event you cannot afford to miss."
